My achievement - Be encouraged 2

In the first note, I introduced myself as an author and encouraged everyone to live the dream. In this concluding note I give my secret to achievement.

Here are my steps to achievement.

6 keys in preparing to achieve

1. Know who you are: do not confuse your whereness with your whoness
2. Faith: visit your future by faith. Believe in your own success.
3. Decision: decide to accomplish your dreams and do not let anything come in your way
4. Association: who are around you, the sort of people around you will kill or make you. Evaluate your relationships.
5. Focus: be focussed, have the ability to see where no one can. Run with your dream, have an attitude of I will not give up.
6. Be proactive: achievement does not happen without an action. You cannot sit down and wait for something to happen. Make it happen, start taking steps no matter how small it is.

7 keys to achievements

1. Write the thought/dream/idea down
2. Have a plan: planning is essential in the actualisation of your dream, have deadlines.
3. List your options: the more options, the more power you have in your hands
4. Have a backup plan: failure to anticipate is the root cause of so many dreams dying.
5. Calculate the cost
6. Get the skill: be wise, be knowledgeable in the area of your dream, the more you learn, the more you earn.
7. Measure/review your progress

Success is a matter of preparation

I want to encourage and challenge everybody reading this note that we can achieve what we plan to do when it is done with excellence, discipline and getting the right skill necessary to do the job. For the benefit of those who do not know, I was writing a book, am happy to tell you that my status has changed, do not look for me at my old address, I have moved. I am now an AUTHOR. I have accomplished one of my dreams, it is a reality, 2 steps to receiving from God is officially a book, not a manuscript. It was challenging in terms of time and finances to covert my dream from a manuscript to a book, but it was worth it, I have expanded my skill and increased my network. If I can do it, I have news for you, so can YOU. I am a wife, mother and a career woman, I did it, I wrote my first book, and how did I manage it you ask? The answer is simple, in the words of Dani Johnson (Life coach), I don’t think you can handle the answer; it’s not how it is who His name is JESUS. My friends, be encouraged, what have you thought about doing in this new year, sing, dance, write, join a group, learn a new skill, whatever it is, it is not too late to start moving in the direction of achieving it. Be challenged to take the thought/dreams/ideas a step further. Watch out for the concluding part of this note.

Putting first things FIRST!

I believe that our spiritual life is important and is the foundation for everything we want to do in life, be it marriage, family, career or finance. I will be bold enough to say that “True success is found with God and God alone”, the book of Joshua 1:7 informs us that with God we shall have good success. We are stewards over our time and putting first things first is vital to progress in life, the bible says we are seek the Kingdom first Matthew 6:33.

When God is first, even in crisis, there is a blessing in the storm; there is joy unspeakable and peace like a river. We don’t have to wait for something to happen before we make a choice to put God first, it saves unnecessary pain and tribulation. I make God first by spending time in praise and worship, regular intake of the word of God, memorising bible verse, confessing the word of God, reading faith based books, listening to faith based music and being surrounded by the assembly of the brethren. I encourage you to make the most important decision in your life this year by making God your NUMERO UNO.

The Power of Gratitude

Every one wants Peace, joy and success.

I have learnt that how we think is a key to living a sucessful life and that my mindset has to be positive to win in life.  separating the negative issues and challenges from my identity (not allowing them to define me or destroy me) is essential.Recognising the goodness of God and being grateful for all things; small things, bigger things and things to come is empowering. The moment we start being grateful and remain grateful, things change for the better. Life is privilege, when we wake up each day, thanking Jesus is the best way to start and not all have this opportunity.

Gratitude positions us for more; as we start recognise the goodness of God in our lives. and place value on everything we have, great or small, whether that be – relationship, property, business e.t.c., then life feels exciting and the well of praise leaps from within, the truth is that when we do not recognise our blessings we abuse them!

Gratitude is the cure of depression, opens closed doors Paul & Silas discovered this while in prison, gratitude changes our perspective helping us to re-interpret suffering and trials. Conversely murmuring, grumbling, or complaining extends our trials! Remember new levels have new challenges, but challenges build our spirit, becuase we learn and grow the most under trial.

In my walk with Christ I have learnt that being born-again is more than an electrifying feeling in fact it is a process of renewal! An attitude of gratitude is a great tool in our process of renewal

5 keys to A new Year!

It is the season where everybody is creating a new year resolution. I remember always doing this and not being disciplined to follow through, I am sure a lot of us are guilty as well. I have news for you; there is no time like the present to decide what you want in this New Year 2011. You can’t afford to be lukewarm. The situation in the country is changing continuously that it will be ridiculous to be doing the same thing you have been doing for years and expecting a different result. You can’t be ignorant in this day and age where information can be sourced from; there is no more excuse for you. Now is the appointed time to decide the path you want to follow, you can either continue like you did last year or you consciously choose and decide to be the best you and achieve all the goals you have set for yourself.
